One of the world leaders for in vitro diagnostic medical devices, a growing mid-size group, is seeking a full time datascientist/project manager in its R&D department based in Lisses. She / He will work closely with the team dedicated to the search for new biomarkers, and also with the software development team.
This individual will BE expected to facilitate exchanges and participating in workshop with service providers, will support the management and tracking of deliverables, including code and design documentation coming from the service providers.
He or she will ensure the transfer, implementation and optimization of solutions developed by service providers.
He or she will also interface with an academic and medical research team specialized in statistical analysis of data, as well as innovative precision medicine approaches using state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning modeling.
Main tasks of the position
* Project Management responsibilities, including maintaining schedule, communicating project updates to all stakeholders and ensuring the quality of deliverables.
* Monitor the project during all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirements collection, design, verification and validation, implementation and follow up.
* Collaboration with service providers to deliver a robust solutions for new biomarkers discovery research program and for software assisted interpretation of electrophoresis curves.
* Provide service providers with the collected data sets in accordance with the defined specifications
* Ensure the implementation of AI solutions, algorithms and / or statistical models developed by/with service providers, for the analysis and interpretion of curves generated with different analytical methods
* Serve as a knowledge channel between service providers and the multidisciplinary R&D team which includes analytical development engineers, software development engineer and medical affairs team.
* Work with different project teams to define crisp scientific questions and design experiments to test them appropriately
* Communicate project updates to all stakeholders and perform other related duties as required.
Education and required Skills
* Computer science Engineer or Ph.D. with 3 to 4 years of academic/industry experience in statistics/data science and biology.
* Demonstrated expertise in using multi-parametric analysis for target identification and biomarker discovery. For example, multivariate analysis; dimensionality reduction methods; parametric and non-parametric statistical methods; Bayesian statistics; pattern recognition or classification methods, Hierarchical clustering.
* Proficient in R, python or a similar analytical programming language.
* Experience in using SVM models grid search cross-validation.
* Experience in extracting & managing the data required.
* Provide data modeling through advanced statistics.
* Experience working with Kubernetes, docker, Apache Spark, TensorFlow, Caffe, Torch or Scikit-Learn.
* Experience working with SQL databases.
* Experience in managing multiple projects and independent work
You are highly motivated, dynamic, rigorous, proactive, autonomous in your actions, excellent analytical skills. You have excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork skills. Previous team management experience is not required
